Excellent Lesbian Coming of Age German film (spoilers)

Really carried by great performance from Lena Urzendowsky as Nora, the lead character of the film

It's really a film about a young teenager girl becoming a woman and coming to terms with her sexuality. Nothing groundbreaking or anything as it's been done before. But I liked that Nora acted like a normal teenage girl not like most Hollywood films when they speak like a 30 year old Feminist hipster would. I liked her friendship with her older sister and her friend, Nora loves her sister but clearly isn't comfortable with the whole hanging with boys and been all girly girl.

She meets Romy, the cool new girl of the school (played nicely by Jella Haase, although 28 at the time she's not quite believeable as a teenage girl) and a budding romance starts. It's not a major part of the film and Romy seems a very flightly young woman who probably sees Nora as just a bit of fun (she's end up caught kissing a guy). But for Nora it means a lot more, as it's opening of a door into her becoming comfortable been a Lesbian. From I got with their last scene together that Nora time with Romy has passed, she's not angry with her but she knows Romy will just end up hurting her again so Nora moves on thankful for her time with Romy.

Also special praise for Lena Klenke as Nora's older sister.

It's a film worth checking out if you can find it.
