Zack and Miri's love scene is surprisingly well-done

I truly believe the love scene between Zack and Miri is not only unexpectedly romantic, but it is also one of the best and most genuine sex scenes in pretty much any film I have ever seen.

I know that I cannot be the only one who believes this, but between the song choice, the pacing, and the performances, particularly by Elizabeth Banks through her facial expressions, there was a sensuality and an sincerity, that just sold me.

I would not have expected to see such a thing in a film like this, which almost makes me went Seth Rogen.

I credit director Kevin Smith for making that scene work so well. The song they played really makes that scene. The camera angles and editing also added to it.

i agree, it was well done & what makes it so funny on how well it turned out is he had to get advice on how to do a love scene like that cause he had NEVER done one before. plus them being nervous about it and putting it off & pretty much acting stupid was i think pretty realistic.

stuff like that does happen especially if it's someone you've known for a long time & decide to have sex with them. the thing i find funny is she didn't do nudity in the film. you'd think by the content that Elizabeth Banks would have done nudity oh well i guess.

I gotta agree, was just watching this when that scene came on and even though I had seen the movie several times already that scene still stands out as one of the best sex scenes Ive seen so far.

I definitely agree. I thought the exact same thing. The direction is superb and the song makes it spectacular. It's up there with the love scene from the movie Don't Look Now as one of the most realistic love scene from a non X rated film. Kuddos to the actors and director for that!

Ohh man, those faces she makes are amazing. And when she finally lets out that moan, its so great. If I had been Zack in this movie, I would have just called off the porno and I wouldn't have left the house for 3 days because I was busy having sex with Miri. I might go out to get some Gatorade so I don't de-hydrate but that's it.
