It's... okay. More of a character study I guess?

I went in thinking it's Denzel doing The Bone Collector again hunting a serial killer, and, yeah, it is, but it really shifts gears into a character study when all is said and done.

As a police investigation movie, there are some great parts but falls apart at the end. it's a solid cast, but Malek was wrong for his role. Denzel is Denzel - always solid and believable.

It just felt like it needed something more. I didn't feel the suspense, there's a twist that I didn't see coming but it fell kind of flat and too late, and when the credits rolled I was a little disappointed.

***Spoilers(kinda)....**** I guess in the end it was Denzel finding redemption saving another man from following his own fate. But did it work? That's what stuck with me.
