Has potential.

A nicely contained, one-location, thrill ride.

The director has already done a great job with a very contained film. The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016). Another contained film that excelled is 10 Cloverfield Land (2016).

Historically Hitchcock did a great job with several films such as Lifeboat, Rope and Rear Window.

So whilst it may sound a bit too contained, small and merely a tiny portion of a bigger story getting stretched out, I wouldn't give up hope. These sorts of films can deliver. Dracula running amok on a ship has potential.

We saw something similar in Jason takes Manhattan, when he went on a killing spree on the boat

You know what, this is one of the better posts you've ever made millsey72. A suprisingly apt comparison. However one would hope that this film is more entertaining and frightening than Jason Takes Manhattan.

Who do you think would win in a fight? Dracula or Jason?

reply

Jason. Especially if he finds Dracula in the day time

Or a silver bullet

I think it could be fun. Dracula is fun, old ships are fun, and period pieces are fun.

I just learned about this film because it was bumped onto the trending board but I agree that it has potential.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a very good film.

I see Dracula is being played by Javier Botet (Mama, Mara, The Conjuring 2), according to his Wikipedia page.

I'm interested in this because I loved The Autopsy of Jane Doe.

Is this still happening?

It's in post production and will be releasing in August.
