Nope. Not at all. Big already had worries about the wedding/marriage (which is fairly understandable after two divorces and the fact that he and Carrie have had their ups and downs) and it was Carrie making the wedding bigger and bigger that spooked him. He was already scared and having his doubts. Miranda saying that to him didn't help but if he'd been adamant and confident that he wanted to marry Carrie, then her comment wouldn't have stopped him from doing that. He would've recognised that it was just the words of a hurt woman who was dealing with her own stuff. He already had concerns and that just convinced him even more, but it's not Miranda's fault and she shouldn't have been blamed for it as much as she was. Charlotte even said to her that it wasn't her fault, Big was already weird about marriage, and he was. To be honest, the situation between Miranda and Steve probably made Big think about the fact that he cheated on his last 2 wives (one of which with Carrie) and now he's seeing it from the perspective of the woman who's been hurt by those actions and it probably made him more concerned that he was going to mess up yet another marriage.
