Did anyone else cry at... ?

the Kimmie Belzer scene towards the ending of the film ? (starting at minute 02:12:18)

I know this is a tremendous black comedy and I, myself, laughed out loud at most of the scenes throughout the film, but when it got the scene where Jordan Belfort presents Kimmie Belzer and recollects her beginnings in the firm to the whole office, I wept! And I couldn't believe it! That scene triggered deep emotions from my personal experience and past. I believe a fair amount of people felt vulnerable at least during that scene for they personally found themselves more than once in a position where they didn't have 'two nickels to rub together', coming from lower middle class families, without connections, without a direction or a career, and weighed down by student loans or bank loans. Honest people will always remember that when they reach the top. I thought it was a nice moral lesson - if not the ONLY life lesson in this film.
What do you think?

I don't feel the same way but I understand it. Wall street takes in all kinds of desperate souls.

They rationalize it, they are taking from the rich, ignoring the fact they are destroying lives and families. The same way debt collectors and people working for medical insurance companies denying claims, they just get more money from it. To be honest they are at least better than the people I just mentioned, at least they are not praying on the poor and vulnerable.

That was a touching scene. I was expecting Jordan to make a joke but it was smart to not undercut the moment with a gag.
