The script was filled with cringe-worthy dialogs & situations. Can't believe it came from a successful director. It was no better than a typical B-Movie script which seems to have written by kids.
The only good thing about it was the action scenes.

Try Daylight's End with Johnny Strong. WAAAAAAY better action sequences and Johnny Strong is badass in that.
Also Blood Quantum is a much better and more sensibly written zombie flick (for the most part).
Stakeland isn't necessarily about zombies per se, but it's close enough and as a low-budget B-movie it's one of the most intense action-horror films out there.
His own remake of "Dawn of the Dead" was excellent.
shareAlmost all of his films have been commercially successful. Dawn of the Dead is considered by many as a great zombie flick and 300 was immensely popular. You may not like his films, I don't like most of them, but he has had a lot of success at the box office.
