LOL at the posts for this movie... but I haven't seen it yet. Perfect double feature with "Oppenheimer" The Long Lens style destroyed this movie. Wow it's gone downhill. "The Descent" and "Jeepers Creepers" influenced View all posts >

I think hard working immigrants are better than native born deadbeats, dumbasses, and "Karens", gas prices are low, and it was the Jan 6th rioters that dramatically beat down police and caused at least two to commmit suicide later on. They could have just shown him licking up a drop of cum or gotten the guys cumrag and sucked on it (which I've seen in other better edgy movies), and in the grave humping scene, he could have again just jacked off (and been more secretive since anyone could have witnessed that). These scenes seem to go into territory as as a contrived attempts where I could hear the wheels turning in the filmmaker's mind as opposed to the actual movie working on its own, with characters that have come to life. Even if it's a shocking type of life. And the weak characterization and dialogue and the very thin, extremely cliche plot were all such a let down. I think something like the series "Euphoria" was so much better. Also, "Call Me by your Name". There's been so many over the past 20 years that break explicit ground and show outrageous behavior but are so much better. The unfortunately restrained but brilliantly plotted version of the thriller aspects of "Saltburn" would be "The Talented Mr Ripley" But "Saltburn" sure was filmed beautifully! And the production design was top notch too. And for what they were given, the actors tried. What a unique name your wife has. My favorite Tony Scott film is "The Hunger". It was a box office bomb, and he wen into a completely simple minded lowest common denominator mode for his next film "Top Gun" And it worked. I've have still never watched "Top Gun" from beginning to end. Just not my kind of thing. I. have watched "The Hunger" many many many times. This is a good post. You seriously don't understand why? That's probably also why your tag is talking about "retiring wokies" when the authors of the pop culture material that you reference were woke and pushed a woke theme. Yes "The Blair Witch Project" might be the only one. It also spawned tons of copycats that were influenced. It also, just like The Exorcist, created intense fear in its original screenings. I went to a sneak preview that was free, without any knowledge about what it was. Yes one was a cheap money grab for a theatrical reissue with really weak decisions to add VFX here and there, a few lost moments from the original shooting script, and one overt explanation that just seems like bad writing. There were no possession films when this came out. Think about that. Hey I like a good superhero movie too (but they are not all good), but I also like a dramatic art film. I wish people could expand their tastes beyond processed foods form the convenience store. View all replies >
