shareBut movies like this play into every Black stereotype in the book. Thus the church scenes where the preacher acts completely over the top for no reason.
shareWhat difference does it make? It's just a movie, if a person wants to think all black preachers are over dramatic, so what? Does it really make anyones life better or worse? I think not. This movie is simply for entertainment and not a social commentary.
shareThere are plenty of cities in America where there are no Black people. So something that may be "just a movie" for you can be social commentary for them since it's all they see.
