2.3??? C'MON NOW!!!

Just saw this today,
Was pleasantly surprised. People are probably turned-off knowing its a "black comedy". I'm white and still enjoyed the hell outta it.
Dont say "well u havent seen Inception" either cause i have twice.

NO this isnt some flawless superb artistic film. but its definitely a comedy that has realistic characters (for the most part). I actually felt that it was heartwarming to.
Wont give away the ending, but even Ice Cube at the end made me feel sympathetic and kinda touched by his and some other people's actions.

I would give this a 6/10 because it was better than average...and definitely was surprising that this was enjoyable from start to finish....BUT i had to rank it a 10/10 because way too many people gave it 1 Star for no aparent reason.
If i could i would rank it 10/10 about 500 times so that peopole werent misled by the rating on IMDb.
if u like ANY of the actors in this movie, i can assure you, they did their thing. Even T-Pain was great...Charlie Murphy was funny, Brandon T. Jackson in 1 of his better roles since Tropic Thunder...Ice Cube better than 1/2 his other movies...Terry Crews, well...being a hilarious Terry Crews and added Life to the movie...MIKE EPPS kind of made me understand why he was originally attatched to play RICHARD PRYOR in the upcomming biopic, you could REALLY REALLY REALLY hear Pryor in his tone (just with Mike Epps wearing a funny wig and acting like a preacher lol)...Keith David is even in a funny, bigger role here. The gangster which i forget his name is very good in this. Bow Wow showing me that he SHOULD act instead of rap.

IDK, i cant say this was perfect, but i almost used a free pass on this, but instead decided to save the pass and pay for a matinee...i can say i felt very satisfied.
Even with barely ANYONE in the audience..just 2 other tiny groups in a small theatre, and they REALLY REALLY REALLY liked it. laughed the whole time, and the end made them cheer so much (w/ Ice Cube) that i almost did myself.
Im not gonna hate this movie at all. def gonna defend this one, even with its flaws.

***stop rating a movie 1..2...3..or EVEN 10 stars WITHOUT SEEING IT FIRST. *beep* annoying)***

Im black but this movie looks like garbage. Complete freaking bollocks. I will watch it and I will probrably waste an hour of my life. I'm taking your word for it OP. This had better be worth it.

I'm a white guy also and loved this movie. It had me laughing in a few parts. I thought it was great, very well written. Bow Wow can act, definitely better than he raps. SPOILER: the scene at the end when the bully is standing over Bow Wow and took both tickets, then Cube out of nowhere KO's the bully, I didn't expect that at all, that was great. I gave it a 7.5/10.

yea, I was really surprised at this movie. its not my favorite, but I wouldnt regret paying to see it. Its a solid 6-6.5/10. No way is this a 2.3. honestly, even movies I hate, I not rate that low. Thats the thing about ratings, anything less than 4/10 wouldnt be a movie in the first place. No studio is that dumb to put out a movie that bad.

It was a nice, feel good movie. If it were set in a middle class neighborhood, starred Michael Cera or Jesse Eisenberg instead of Bow Wow and took place at some nice middle class high school or neighborhood strip mall, white people would love it and rate it a 9/10, calling it a return to form to 80s comedies and every reviewer would be talking about "they don't make them like this anymore" instead of the hate its receiving from mainstream.
I enjoyed this movie and its a time-tested formula that most movies still use today. They don't like it because there was no white knight riding in to save the day and the main guy being oppressed wasn't Jewish. This movie goes against everything they perpetrate in the movies. Black people are not supposed to think under pressure, be the good guy or save the day, nor are they supposed to give back when they win. Its anti-conditioning, so people hate it.

PREACH THE WORD MATE! Make 'em sexually charged and add that damn fatass foul mouth guy and its Superbad(overrated BS)all over again.

Goddamn, thats so true I was about to post the SAME EXACT THING!! Great minds think alike muddasucka! :) This movie was a good entertainment, I got a few gripes about it taking place once again in the 'hood, and its all basically "Friday" for young teens but whatever. Hollywood is really sleeping on Bow Wow, he's a VERY talented and charismatic young actor and I hope to see more with him. It was a bit of a stretch since Roll Bounce which was also a pretty good film as well.
