Because he's only 16 or 17yrs olds and didn't realize he was suppose to do that! He wasn't told until after the thug stole it from him! His grandma should have known better not to let the under 18 yr old hold on to the ticket in the 1st place even if it was his numbers that won the lottery! Diiirrr!

lmao he graduated from high school. He is not 16, plus he bought a lottery ticket. You have to be 18 to play the lottery! bahahhaha. I agree he didn't know to sign it, but it's not hard to figure out his age in the movie.

im 21 nd I didnt know you were supposed to sign the back.
shareYep, sign the back of the ticket
OR
Contact the TV news station and hold a press conference so everyone knows he won.
OR
Keep the ticket in his house and guard it with his very life.
OR
Just leave the neighborhood and stay gone for a few days.
These are things that normal people would do. However, movie people don't think like normal people, otherwise sh!t would get pretty boring.
I have a new philosophy. I'm only going to dread one day at a time.
Yeah; he could have avoid a lot of this extra stuff. However, it is a movie.
shareIt's one of those things we call "It only happens in the movies." Now, that has happened in real life, but since the lottery constantly reminds you to do it, most do it. Some do it right after they buy a ticket. But if he would've signed the ticket right away, there wouldn't be a movie.
Hell, I would love to sign one this saturday.
