They seemed to be trying to make his appearance a surprise. The first few trailers also didn’t have him. The marketing was not great.

THATS DC FOR YA...SUPER-MAN WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD AND GONE...AND WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE AGASP AND THRILLED AT HIS RETURN..THE EXECUTION WAS MEDIOCRE AT BEST FROM THE BEGINNING THOUGH....OH WELL.

It was a huge plot twist having Superman reappear in this movie. Almost as good as the whole Rey being a Palpatine plot twist

That was the worst twist ever. Rey is NOT a Skywalker!

Reys bloodline was from Palpatine however she identified as a Skywalker, so it was a great twist
