How many men enjoy this movie?
shareI loved it. I watched it for a second viewing within 2 days, which I rarely ever do. Also has been mesmerized by Emily Blunt. Goddamn that woman's beautiful!

I did. :)
Emily Blunt is gorgeous and I like films with some historical background.

Add me to the list but then I love historical costume dramas and romances and almost all romantic comedies. I could watch Emily Blunt in any movie.

I was curious about this movie and wanted to see how it compared with a 1954 German film, "Mädchenjahre einer Königin," with Romy Schneider as Victoria, and her mother Magda as Baroness Lehzen. It covered the same period and had most of the same characters. Oddly enough, the only scene I remember (I saw it in 1955 in Austria) was when Victoria proposed to Albert: "Bist du mein Frau?" she asked, and then giggled and corrected it to "Bist du mein Mann?"
Anyway, I watched this one for the uniform, to get ideas in case I'm ever invited to a costume party. It was a nice chick flick, though.
I liked it (7/10), but I don't know if it's possible for me to dislike something that Emily Blunt is in. It usually takes an actress that I'm a huge fan of to get me to watch this kind of movie (like Keira Knightley in The Duchess).

I did. First and foremost, because Emily Blunt is in it. Secondly, because _this_ Victoria sure didn't act Victorian! Basically, I have never seen a movie that so humanized royalty.
shareI found it enjoyable.
