Agreed all the way. The woman had a plethora of serious problems, most which require medicine nowadays or else it's off to the looney bin.
She married Frank. She had two kids with him. They were basically living the American dream and she selfishly wanted something else? For what reason? Mostly selfishness.
Her idea of the future in Europe was unrealistic as everyone else in the film had said. No, you can't just get a governmental secretarial job with some work history in bad plays. On top of that, I'm not sure you could also provide for three others while maintaining a good quality of life.
She murdered her and Frank's child. She cheated on him. Let's see... The screaming scene. Everything. The entire time I was saying, "Get rid of her." I'm surprised Frank kept going back and apologizing and such.
Anyway, entitled white woman who thinks her happiness comes first is the most important thing, etc. She was blinded by her ignorance and didn't deserve Frank.
And as others have said, Frank wasn't the best person either, but I think the movie's focus is on just how twisted April is.
