GOOGLE.

In the film, he GOOGLES on somebody's phone. Supposedly the whole point of the device is to relive the last 8 minutes of somebody's life. So, transitive property, this individual's brain somehow memorized the entire content of Google and the Internet, allowing him to do a Google search.

And that, alone, annihilates all hope for anything substantially sci-fi or even believable. Terrible movie.

Lol yes. It's bing and not Google but yes.

If you truly believe some computer can create a perfect parallel universe using 2 human brains (lol), without the creators of the computer having any idea of this, then consider killing youself.

Either the scientist didn't really know what was possible with his invention (Colter being the first one testing it) or he didn't want Colter being distracted with saving the people on the train while their objective was to find the mastermind.
