Rewatching the whole Series - possible Spoilers - still can't stand Bran
Currently close to the end. The Night King just got killed - by Arya who came out of nowhere like Michael Jordan back in his best days.
The series itself feels still pretty fresh and well done. On my newer TV it looks even better than on my first two watches. Especially the darker episodes. At least I can see some things now (like in Ep 8.03).
The loss of Tywin, Oberyn, Joffrey and Ramsey (love them or hate them) made quite some impacts. The acting quality surely dropped without them. Luckily there are still some fan-favourites left like The Hound, Tormund, Jaime and Tyrion. Varys seems very under-used in Season 8.
Still not a fan of Brienne, but I can tolerate her now at least. But season 8 still feels rushed and I'm not looking forward to the disappointing end. Again, if not so rushed, it might have been ok at least.
But I really still cringe every time Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) appears. Not sure if it's the directing, his acting or me. But trying to be "wise", his acting just seem more wise-ass than wise. Acting range between a baked potato and Steven Seagal. But again: he is supposed to be a wise and all-knowing three-eyed raven. But I just really wanna turn off my TV every time I see his smug face.
The end of the Night King was just too sudden. Daenerys and Jon are just flying around almost the whole episode. The Night King on the dragon could have easily just flown over Bran and just end it there. But then again: story-writing and -telling at it's best.
Also - after succesfully taking down a dragon with the huge "Scorpion" crossbows - suddenly everybody forgets about them in the next episode. At least forget about how to use them properly. Euron takes a single shot and misses while all the other Scorpions on the ships and on the walls of Kings Landing stay unused. Before they shot about 50 of them at the same time. Looks like they ran out of arrows between the two episodes. Didn't make any sense.
And it's still strange to see Arya and Gendry to make out. After all she was 14 in real life in Season 1 and he was 24. Must have been weird for them to do that scene. Or I hope so.
