If he says so that’s fine, he was probably the best thing in it.

"Dragons" is not an excuse for awful writing.

reply

There are no excuses for what they did.

Frustrating.

Have any of you met Dinklage and complained about the finale???

Which might be why he wants to defend it, he didn't write that mess and he can't want to talk about how awful it was! If he wants fans to just get over it and shut up, I can't blame him. I mean I won't shut up or anything, because I'm still pissed at what a hack job they made of the last few seasons, but I'd never bother Dinklage directly. None of it was his fault.

If his criticism is confined to the people who didn't like the finale only because of who was sitting on the throne at the end, well, it's still a bit off the mark but ok.

I didn't like the entire final series because it was a sloppy train wreck of lazy writing. Actually, as soon as the series didn't have the novels to guide it along, it began to spiral downward.

In my opinion anyway. Is that ok with you Mr. Dinklage?

addendum: Realize that Cyrano comes out 12/31/21. Condemning comic book movies or defending GofT is great for whatever you're really trying to draw attention towards.

Did a lot of people actually complain about the dragons? The dragons didn't bother me that much, at least they had a point. My biggest complaint are the white walkers. Such pointless zombies... although it did lead to one of my favorite scenes in the final season when Podrick sings a song when they're all gathered on the eve of the battle with the dead. That was a great scene...

But I guess they had to put the zombies in this show because it's part of the source material. So, it is what it is... however, if it was up to me, I would have left them out of this show entirely.

after all the money spent on it, all the hype etc... it's a little late for management of expectation I think
