What are your highs and lows of the final episode?

HIGHS:
-Sansa becoming Queen of the North. Fully deserved for me. Used to hate her in earlier seasons, but she's become a seasoned politician and leader, happy for her.
-Bran becoming King...I wasn't expecting it at all and my initial reaction was pretty much same as Sansa's (wtf...), but when he actually started ruling he seemed like a great leader. A great way to close the loop from him almost dying in the first episode, and going through the journey he did.
-Cinematography during Dany's scenes. This season has had the best cinematography, they really deserve many plaudits for their brilliant work.
-Tyrion surviving, and the scene with him ruling over King's Landing as the Hand along with Sam/Brienne/Bronn was cool

LOWS:
-The Unsullied, Drogon AND the Dothraki ALL let Jon live and only take him prisoner, after Jon kills Dany? Yeah right...as if those guys are capable of showing such restraint and mercy in the face of their mother/leader being murdered...Jon should have been killed...and to think, there are people moaning that Jon didn't deserve being sent up to the nightswatch??? Jon was lucky to be alive!
-kinda related to the above point....no Jon vs Greyworm battle. Woulda been cool
-Was hoping Cersei would be alive somehow so that someone could finish her in a more brutal way. ah well

Overall, I enjoyed the finale. It wasn't perfect but perfection is a lot to expect. I'm satisfied enough to say I'm happy with it.

I, too, was satisfied with the ending. It was anti-climactic but I really didn't want any more long, drawn-out fight scenes. I thought all the developments made sense.

And while I agree that the writing went downhill after they passed Martin's books, I think we should remember that he's a phenomenal writer. I don't think we can expect Benioff and Weiss to write as well as he does, though we sure wish they did.

Highs
*Arya setting off to explore. There was talk of her maybe going back to the House of Black & White, but I think she'd had enough killing for now. Arya as an explorer of unknown lands was perfect.
*Tyrion as Hand of the King.
*Jon heading off into the North. Though he looked miserable, he's a natural leader and I think he'll do great things among the wildlings.
*This one is dumb and you can make fun of me if you like, but it was fun seeing the actor who played Robin Arryn grow up to be good-looking. :-)

Lows
*I wanted Jaime to complete his redemption arc instead of returning to Cersei and I wanted her to meet a more fitting end.
*I would like to have seen Arya and Sansa's good-bye. They were very different but their bond was strong. I wish they'd had even a short parting scene.

Highs:

Dany's mad tyrant speech, promising to liberate the whole world.
Jon manning up and offing his aunt.
Jon saying to heck with civilization and going north to find another ginger wildling girl.
Arya sailing off to meet Floki.
Brienne recording Jaime's good deeds for posterity.

Lows:

Bran letting Sansa split off and showing what a weak ruler he will be.
A crook like Bron becoming the Finance Minister.
