Do others think Cersei deserved a worse ending?

I sort of wanted her to experience a worse outcome than what happened.

It is also quite telling how the writers and producers of the show actually brought around sympathy for her.

And Lena Headey did such an extraordinary portrayal of such an evil character. To me, it's one of those roles where the actor does such a good job that it is hard to watch them in other roles without feeling toward a particular portrayal......

She's a great actress for sure, but yes Cersei as a character deserved much worse than what she got. WE deserved much better!

I think, and I'm just going off my gut feeling on this, that the writers were trying to show us that Cersei was never who we thought she was. I got the feeling in that moment before death we were suppose to realize that she was a young woman playing at ruling, never really becoming that ruler she tried to show off as.

Now I don't actually feel like it "worked" because I can point out too many horrible things she did and smiled at while it happened. I just feel like her admission that she just wanted to live and she just wanted her baby to live, was her way of saying she was done with the game she had been playing.

What surprised me the most was how relatively few lines she had in this final season. Her role didn't seem near as prominent as I expected.

It was a fitting end, to be honest.
