Ghost 🐺
Jon doesn't even hug Ghost to say goodbye?? Just looks at him from across the courtyard? Come on!

I thought the same thing.
Yeah, made med sad. Was hoping Ghost will be with him all the way.
shareAgree 1000%
...but at least the writers squeezed in enough time for Sam to try and explain to Jon how he got Gilly pregnant. FFS!
As a dog daddy I’m offended by Jon’s aloofness towards his Dire Wolf. Hell of a way to end a friendship & honor the connection that you had with the animal since it’s birth.
He DiD look out it for though by sending him south with Tormund. But jeez give him some love! After all the poor thing got f%*ked up big time. He was whining for you! Go to him & give him some reassurance, but he coldly dismissed his loyal friend.
What business Ghost had fighting alongside Jorah I’m still trying to understand but ok.
I'm wondering though if maybe Jon will send for him, now that he doesn't have Rhaegal. There were hints that Ghost would play a major role this season, and so far we haven't really seen him do anything. And Ghost was always more a part of Jon than Rhaegal -- who really only existed as a plot device to point out Jon's heritage (but I cried when he was shot down anyway).
And I have often wondered why Ghost has been such a significant player. Jon shows up as a recruit in what is basically military boot camp...and he's allowed to keep his pet? That always seemed odd to me, so I'm hoping that he has a major reason for being in the story, beyond just to point out Jon's warging abilities, which aren't really touched on in the show anyway.
Ghost is all CGI. They probably didn’t want to go through all the expense and trouble of shooting on blue screens just for a hug scene. Besides Jon never cuddled Ghost like a pet.
shareHe's not CGI this season. It's just a dog they shoot separately, they mess with perspective sometimes to make him look bigger. That's why Jon doesn't touch him.
shareYeah, I was expected he would too. Maybe the direworlf represents himself wanting to heal in the North but has to part ways. Will keep Tormund and friends company.
