Is Clegane-bowl gonna happen?
Since The Hound survived the Battle of Winterfell, will he finally get a chance to fight The Mountain?
I think it will and it'll end in a draw with both dying.

Mountain will kill Arya which in turn will anger The Hound and lead him to kill the Mountain.
shareI'll buy that.
shareI can see that happening, because this is Game of Thrones--and the good guys don't always win.
Right when Arya is about to insert the pointy end into Cersei, the Mountain's massive sword comes down full force and slices Arya in two. Sandor Clegane rushes in, and a duel between the Mountain and the Hound ensues.
The victor will probably be the Mountain.
The Mountain is already dead
shareI certainly hope not but probably. It would just be lame & very forced fan service at this point. The Hound's "bad assery" has been significantly diminished throughout the series & the Mountain is basically Frankenstein now so it ultimately won't bare a lot of significance.
shareMy thoughts exactly. He’s practically another wight - not the Hounds brother anymore...just a shell. At least for us much as we know. Not sure if the Hound should/would get any satisfaction out of killing him...basically just another fight if it happens.
shareWho cares? The show is pretty much ruined already, so there's not much point.
shareThat's why you should just stop watching.
shareToo invested to turn away now. I don't know who to blame about this...HBO, or GRRM for taking his sweet ass time to write these stories.
They both own a significant share of blame IMO, but I probably would blame GRRM more for not finishing what he started. That's completely unacceptable and put D&D in an impossible position of having to invent material that wouldn't stay true to the source.
That'd be like D&D stopping production after the 5th season and fucking around for 9 years like GRRM has done.
Impossible position? There are dozens of theories that are a million times more interesting than the trash d&d came up with and they are being written by random basement dwellers. Stop making excuses for those hacks.
shareThat wasn't what they were originally commissioned to do, it was to faithfully adapt GRRM's work to screen. They weren't expecting to have to invent original source material that wouldn't be faithful to the author's narrative.
Stop trying to excuse GRRM's laziness and irresponsibility after he cashed his check.
I haven't said anything about GRRM buddy, YOU are the one making excuses...
shareYou didn't have to buffy. You're constantly crying excuses for him by misdirecting blame. It's what you do.
shareFaithfully adapt his work to the screen? You can’t have read the books. There are characters who died in the show who are alive in the books.
shareWithin reason obviously. Maybe you know nothing about adopting books to screen. You can't include everything, especially when the author hasn't finished the story.
share*Adapting. Not adopting. Anyway...
Within reason? A character can say something different, or be in a different place to their book counterpart. But to be DEAD?
Yeah sounds like they were very ‘faithful’.
Doesn't sound like you have any idea what you're talking about.
shareYou obviously haven’t read the books or you would have heard of Lady Stoneheart. Run along.
shareYou
Know so little it's
hilarious.
Are you drunk? Can’t even form a sentence never mind an argument.
shareI'm just pointing out you clearly haven't read the books because you think lady stoneheart is essential to the plot when she is not. Stop trying to pretend you've read the books when you clearly haven't.
shareYou didn’t know who she was until you googled her. You know there’s another Targaryen as well? Google that.
shareYou already exposed you're a fraud when you revealed you thought stoneheart was essential to the plot. That's why you know so little it's hilarious.
shareGRRM on Lady Stoneheart:
"She is an important part of the entire book. [Keeping her character] is the change I most wish I could make in the [show]."
You must be dumb as hell. How embarrassing for you.
This is all old news to everyone but you. I love how you keep ignoring my point because you know I'm right. If you'd actually read the books you'd know Stoneheart is not essential to the plot when all she is is a zombified catelyn who comes back and kills some people. Why do try so hard to pretend you've read what you clearly haven't?
shareI’m with GRRM on this one. You can’t have read the books or you’d agree with the actual author as well.
shareIf you'd read the books you'd recognize how ridiculous you sound for pretending the superfluous role of Stoneheart is essential to the plot when it's not. That's why you're incapable of defending your point with a coherent argument.
shareYou’re hard work, can’t you get it through your thick skull that the writer himself wanted her in the show. She had a small role in the books after death (not that you’d know) but she is vitally important for the next 2.
Of course she is important to the plot or she would not be alive.
Amateur.
Of course.
This show is pretty much cruising along by fan pandering at this point.
The mountain is already dead and is powered by magic! I don’t understand why anyone cares about “cleganebowl” so much. It would be cool if the Mountain was still alive and the Hound could actually talk to him and get his revenge properly.
So while The Hound killing the Mountain will still be cool to see, it will now be more of an act of mercy rather than true justice or revenge.
We and Sandor got cheated on that. Sandor vowed he'd kill him at the end of last season, when they met again, but killing The Mountain will just be like killing a super-sized Wight now. The Mountain's not there anymore. Sandor'll get no satisfaction out of it.
shareExactly. He should have been the one to take him out, not Oberyn. The person that was his brother is already dead.
shareLike everyone else; I'm not that excited by it at this point. The Mountain is hardly the Mountain anymore. But they'll probably do it because everyone expects them to.
It's a way to take out Cersei's most loyal "body guard", check off Arya's and the Hound's list.....And since I think Arya will be the one to step in and finish the job after the Hound is grievously wounded; it will be a way to finish off the Hound, display a final bond between the two and make Arya look bad ass again.
