Is Olenna Tyrell dead, or not.
I figured they gave her a fake poison to get some revelation out of her so they could torture her more. I thought Jamie Lannister was becoming a better person but he still seems to support his crazy sister.

Dead.
If there wasn't an ending in sight, I'd say there would be hope but considering it's nearing the end, dead.
Dead as a doornail!
shareDepends if she had the foresight to suspect that might be the way he would try to kill her and she took an antidote to the poison. Longshot, but a way to keep her alive.
shareVery long shot, because she’d need to know in advance which kind of poison he’ll give her in order to take the right antidote.
(Edit:)
Plus, I expect that most of the characters will die before the show is done. So this time, it was Olenna.
Why would she want to stay alive? Her cause is lost, her children and grandchildren are dead, the wealth that was the source of her power has been taken away, and she's too damn old to start again. She even told Danerys that she no longer cared about surviving. Betcha she had her own vial of painless poison sewn into her dress, to be used if Jamie tried to drag her back to King's Landing to be used as a public spectacle and Cersei's play toy.
Anyway, I just wanted to say once again that Diana Rigg was AWESOME in the role and I enjoyed every minute she was on screen. I hope she wins every award available to a supporting TV actress, and gets many offers to play witty old ladies in the future. Bitch had it when she was young and sexy, bitch still has it when she's bent and old.
Except for the (what's your problem?) rudeness I agree about Dianna Rigg in GOT, she was a really great character.
shareAfter I’ve thought about it again…
There’s only one believable way that Olenna’s still alife: After she told Jaime that she killed Joffrey, he walked out of the room. Maybe he was heading for the Maester’s chambers to look for an antidote and force feed it to Olenna, in order to bring her to Cersei after all – she’d give her a much less pleasant death.
I’m not saying I believe that – in fact, I still believe that she is dead.
I’m just saying that’s the only story I’d buy if she’s still alife next episode.
if you watch that scene closely, just before Jamie step out of the room, Olenna's head moved slightly. Me think that's the indication that she lost consciousness, i.e. dead.
shareSorry, but I think you were imagining things there.
This is the last frame before Jamie walks out, she’s still sitting upright in the chair:

… and this is the last frame before the screen goes black. Doesn’t look like someone who just dropped dead to me:
