*spoiler* One of the worst movies ever, with terrible undertones

You know, few things infuriate me more in this day in age more than the themes of this movie.

Theme 1.. I laughed, I cried, I am an artsy dope who watches indie films because it makes me so special... and artsy... so I am cultured.

Let me tell you indie fruitbags one thing, I have more cultural knowledge and education than most of you put together. You think you get something out of this stuff, and I think you just have poor taste.

I rented this movie from one of those dollar rental kiosks in a store, I thought it would be a college comedy with a romantic side (my mistake for being in a hurry and not carefully reading the description).

No, before you say it to me, I am not missing the point or mood or feel of this movie. All copies of this film should be burned immediately as it is a horrible piece of garbage which poisons peoples minds to many terrible abnormal behaviors as if they are acceptable.

Oh your so artsy, you didn't care to fill the viewer in on what the girl's psychotic problem was...

Theme 2.. Feminism, in it's most radical form. We human being reject nature so very much. Why? Why do we reject human nature? Men are not tools of abuse for women. I would have put up with this girl for about hmm.. 20 seconds before I told her where to shove her phone. How dare she? I think this movie begins to bring two thoughts in my mind that I think our society needs. We need public beatings for women who get out of line and an abrupt stop to feminism, if this is how men will be abused in the next 10 years of feminazi evolution then I think we need to act fast men if you care to keep your dignity as a human being and if women are genuinely like this then I am personally for the pimp hand.

No honestly though, I am not for abuse of any kind. Let's act natural about things shall we? Men and Women do have intercourse in about every species with a male and female counterpart.

Theme 3.. This pathetic self abusing man who also has no idea how to respect personal boundaries.

Why would you even go there? Those guys, if they exist are quickly thrown in jail where I am from. This is fake, but as for his patience, well he is an idiot and will live his life in a one sided relationship.

I laughed, I cried, ... err not... I got confused, turned my head sideways throughout the whole movie like.. what the,...

Now I just feel even more disgust for those indie film crazed people who actually watch this, movies like this shouldn't be allowed. Oh and Europeans are more enlightened, I loved that message. Typical liberal undertones, a slight political message that you all might have not noticed.

Horrid. I am so deeply dissapointed, I will never EVER watch anything done by this director again and I might even think twice about Tom Arnold for even appearing in it.

What the hell are you babbling about? You see one movie where a woman tells a guy he has an ugly penis and you get so offended it gives you the vapors! I am picturing you as a big fat 18th century woman with a handkerchief up to her face and waving it around to give herself air because she's just THAT shocked that a woman would dare tell a guy he's got ugly junk. You even say "how dare she" -- as if females aren't allowed to have opinions you don't like. You want to beat women who "get out of line" whatever the hell THAT means. Who gets to draw the "line", YOU? Just because you have an ugly useless peeny? Women have been abused from the beginning of time and now that you see how dehumanizing it is (because it's directed toward a male) you are screaming and whining. You don't seem to have a problem with women being denigrated and abused, and you even advocate abuse towards females. You're one seriously whacked out person.

There is only light, my light, my naked light, my gift to you all. Experience my bliss.

Actually one of the worst movies I've ever seen. A boring and stagnant plot that meanders on and on to get to a point at the very end that was already obvious at the beginning and two characters that I completely hate. One whose a creepy stalker and another who is a frigid bitch. This whole movie upset me and I'm sad it exists.

Good little movie. It has nothing to do with feminism, or politics, or any of the artsy-fartsy sensibilities that bother you so much. Sorry you were "dissapointed". (It's "disappointed". For Christ's sake, please learn to spell.)

It's just a little story about two damaged people. Actually a lot less bleak than it might have been. Things aren't neatly tied up at the end; there's no guarantee of happiness, but the female character has taken some huge steps.

I just think you kind of missed the point of this movie, that's all. This lady, for whatever reason, was very abused and mistreated in some way and that's why she acts the way she does. I don't think it's so much that the male character enjoys the abuse or that women should abuse men. I think it's that, in some odd way, he helps her to heal from whatever traumatized her and put her in this place. Notice, after she talks with her dad, she is smiling and loving, like she had never been to him before. Something changed within her. I think the guy in this movie is especially deep because he is able to see and understand her hurt. In truth, she wasn't really lashing out at him, she was lashing out at her own feelings and he knew somehow, that she didn't really mean it towards him. It is definitely not a movie about abusing men. It's a movie about healing from some sort of traumatization. She may have been molested by her father for years and never really dealt with it. I think that's why at the end she has to get a job and her own place that her dad doesn't know about. Notice he mentions her body and basically swears at her. If she was just a spoiled princess her dad wouldn't have talked to her like that. No, he definitely did something. I have been in an abusive relationship and there is something about the abuser thinking the worst of the abusee. The horrible-ness of abuse and the victim comes out in different ways. Because she was hurting, she was verbally abusive, probably because that's what she got her life. But I don't think that that was really her.
So before you go and judge movies you don't understand, maybe it'd be better if you stuck to less intelligent and less real movies.
