YOUR 'Brilliant, But Cancelled' List

We've all had tv shows that we've loved that have been yanked off the air for no good reason. What shows would you put on your "Brilliant, But Cancelled" List?

I would include That 80s Show, Freaks and Geeks, and That Was Then on my list.

The comedy "Police Squad" was yanked after less than 8 episodes but was reborn as a hit movie and two sequels. "Family Guy" was cancelled by ABC before becoming a huge hit on FOX. So at least two favorites of mine found new life.

"Dark Shadows" was gone too soon. Sure it lasted three years but that's a tick of a clock for a daytime drama.

1 - "Soap" -- All time Brilliant But Canceled show for me.
2 - "Green Hornet" -- 100 times better then Batman
3 - "Freaks and Geeks" -- The first show that was about my generation as a teen.
4 - "Police Squad" -- Only 6 episodes but Brilliant!
5 - "Fridays" -- The best late night show ever!
6 - "Kitchen Confidential"
7 - "American Gothic"
8 - "Carol & Company" -- Yes its Carol Burnett but not what you think, an anthology show kinda like The Twilight Zone....Brilliant!
9 - "Lucky Louie" -- An R rated sitcom on HBO
10 - "My Own Worst Enemy"
11 - "Married with Children" -- It ran for 10 years but they canceled it without a series finally and that really Pissed me off.
12 - "Hooperman"
13 - "Action" -- Should have been on HBO
14 - "Angel"
15 - "Swingtown"

I'm sure I'm forgetting many more that I love but these are the ones that come to mind.

"Watch the Heart!......Spike...aka William The Bloody

I don't know why people mention Northern Exposure. It's one of my all time favorite shows, but I interpreted the original question as being about shows that were cancelled prematurely, before they had a chance. Northern Exposure, as well as X-Files and Gilmore Girls (another two of my favorites) had good runs.

The shows that I feel were shortchanged:

Firefly
Carnivale
Freaks and Geeks
Wonderfalls
Undeclared

And one I don't think anyone's mentioned yet: Max Headroom.

Firefly
Freaks and Geeks
Dead Like Me
Futurama
The Dead Zone
The Riches (I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet)
Swingtown

I will add more when I think of them.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

Swingtown

American Inventor

The Black Donnelly's

I didn't even watch the full series until after they had all aired and it had been canceled. then it was too late.

Oh man, it was like THE WORST when Gilligan's Island got cancelled. The show was still extremely popular but was booted to make room for another season of the stale old oater "Gunsmoke".

"Mediocre Marx Brothers is better than no Marx Brothers!"

Wow! We've given up a lot of quality entertainment to make room for American Idol and their spawns three times a week. BTW, who is this month's bachelorette?

Here are some of my faves that are with us no longer:

Friday Night Lights
Home Front
I'll Fly Away
Studio 60, Sunset Blvd.
Arrested Development
Picket Fences
Book of Daniel
Once and Again
