I was surfing the internets when I found this list: http://thecelebritycafe.com/feature/2012/11/top-10-cancelled-tv-shows-videos of the top 10 cancelled TV shows and I saw Pushing Daisies was number 2!! This was such a lovely show, such a comical cast, vibrant colors and wardrobes, definitely one of my favorites of all time. Never should have been cancelled!
But things are looking up. Lee has been cast in a new AMC show pilot. Halt and Catch Fire.
I only discovered this show because Lee Pace is so amazing in Halt and Catch Fire.
The finale is tomorrow night and I'm so sad at the possibility of such a great show being canceled and not having a second season, I looked to see what else he was in.
Last night I started watching Pushing Daisies and I'm enchanted with it. It's a rare thing to find a show that's so different, so well done, and a comedy that's actually funny! What a shame it was canceled after only 2 seasons.
At this point I still have 1.5 seasons ahead of me to watch, which is a lovely feeling. I'm going to try to savor them and make them last as long as I can.

I'm glad you get the notifications so you knew someone had responded to you. It's such an old thread, I wasn't sure if I should bother posting, but I do love the show.
The Fall, YES! I saw it within this year, not realizing it was the same actor I was watching in Halt and Catch Fire. I fell in love with that movie, so it was fun to suddenly realize it's the same guy.
The Fall is the best movie I've seen in several years, and will remain one of my all-time favorites. The performances of both Lee Pace and his young co-star were incredible. The cinematography was breathtaking, likewise the costuming, and it was such an engrossing, charming, heartbreaking and at times even funny story line.
Im watching this series now and am shocked to learn that it only had 2 short season. Should've had 4 seasons at least! Who were the idiots who cancelled the show?!
@whjunk - A kindred spirit! Pushing Daisies is the best show ever. It was, er is, magical and lovely and new and like anything that deserves those adjectives, too good for American TV. Siiigh.....
Rob Thomas: I did get an email from Bryan Fuller earlier today saying, 'Hey, can you jump on the phone with me at some point? I know you're busy, but I would love to talk to you about how this thing works.' And I know it was specifically for "Pushing Daisies."
Yeah, but the problem is, as Bryan Fuller himself said, the film would need to raise about 10 million dollars (if I'm remembering correctly) in order to be done properly, something that could never be raised on Kickstarter. Of course, if there could be some kind of matching program, with Disney coming on board to match what was raised on Kickstarter, then we might have something. All I know is that Pushing Daisies wasn't allowed to end properly (though, if the world were just, it shouldn't have ended at all), so a movie would be most welcome.
It came out in the worst possible year, on a network that doesn't seem to appreaciate cult hits. It was never a big hit, but was one of the most interesting shows on TV for 2 short tragic years.
It may not have been a big hit, but it was the most critically-acclaimed show of the season, which obviously didn't mean much to network bigwigs, but it does seem rather ironic considering how quickly Pushing Daisies was axed. I remember when it aired (yes, I watched the show when it premiered and every episode thereafter until it was cancelled) the ad campaigns for the show were abysmal, which even then I commented on, something to the effect of how did ABC expect to get viewers if it didn't advertise the show. I think the night it aired was also switched around a few times, which is never good, plus it tended to disappear from the schedule without notice and without reason. So, yeah, ABC scr@wed Pushing Daisies over, much like FOX did to Firefly, something which I've never understood. If you're a TV network and you've paid money to produce and air a show, why wouldn't you do all you could to make sure you got your money's worth out of it?
I miss the hell out of this show, It was so good I only found out about it in mid 2012 and I watched both seasons in a week. I'm really pissed they cancel really good show's like Terriers, Bored To Death and Pushing Daisies but fkng *beep* reality shows get 7 seasons
