an amazing film more like it?

Having just watched flame and citron i was blown away by it, having seen the trailers i thought looked good so went out and bought the dvd but was not expecting it to be so good, i found the film woderfully pieced together and kept me interested throughout but i also loved the historic aspect to it and makes yeh think how many other stories are there like this that ive never heard off, So was wondering could ppl recommend any similar movies? Thank You.

There is another great danish film about the danish resistance called "Drengene fra Sankt Petri" from '91. I don't know what the international title was or if it ever had one, don't even know if it's avalailable with subtitles.

Anyway, it's about a group of students, who start the first resistance group in Denmark during WW2. I recommend it to anyone who likes WW2-films.

Flame & Citron is a good movie, 99% fiction, but still a good movie.
The remaning 1% i give it to that there actually was 2 resistance people code named Flame and Citron.

The movie does not even come close to how the real 2 gentlemen called Flame and Citron actually was like, because if the movie was 100% accurate, then it would be a very long and extremely borring movie.

Thought it was a really good movie. The only thing that I felt let it down was the performance of Stine Stengade (Ketty Selmer). I thought she was dreadful. Couldn't think why she was cast until I read somewhere that she is involved with the director. Hmmm explains a lot.

I agree with the OP; I just saw this movie again last week (Sundance Channel maybe?) and it was even better the second time around because I understood so much more what was being implied (often subtly) in the character and plot development.

Anyway, for whatever reason it really reminded me of the 2007 movie The Counterfeiters -- not the plot, obviously, but the way it was shot and the twists and turns in it. Excellent movie, and I think it's very much on par with Flammen & Citronen: if you enjoyed one you will very likely enjoy the other.

Well, there is a second one just like this movie now: Hvidsten gruppen (The Village).
It has just come in the theaters in Denmark and that movie is about another factual ressistance group in Denmark durring WW2.

Not much about resistance, maybe only implied. Nevertheless, one of my fav movies: Heads in the Clouds

The French movie 'Lucie Aubrac' is also very similar in that it is based on historical events and the same feeling of dread permeates the whole movie.
