Has this show made anyone want to visit Wales?
Has this show made anyone want to visit Wales?
shareYes, yes it has!
Me and my family used to go on holiday to Wales up until I was about 15, and I absolutely LOVE Wales. We didn't go to Barry, we went to Pembrokeshire, but when I was really little, about 4, we did actually go on holiday to Barry Island - just after it became ex-Butlins. I can't remember that much about it, but my older sister and my parents tell me it was a *beep* Haha!
But I still love Wales though, and watching the show makes me want to go back. Or at least to the seaside. =) I got nostalgic everytime I see them crossing the bridge on the show.

My friends and I went!!! We had a grand time - arrived on the Friday and went to Barry Island on the Saturday. I'm not gonna lie to you there's not a lot there but you gotta go. The best fish & chip place is called something like Bloofy's - the Codfather of Sole and Ness'a slots are just next door.
Can't wait for series 3
in answer to the orginal question yes it has, i really wanna go to barry island and ive recently made some new friends that are from wales and said they can take me and my friends there next year!

I used to get taken to Barry Island or Porthcawl as a little girl. My great aunt and uncle lived in a little village called Hafodyryns and they were the nearest seaside resorts. This was over forty years ago and Barry has probably changed a lot in that time! Now I live in North Wales.
shareYes...would be fun to see Barry and I would also like to go to Cardiff (Dr Who and Torchwood fan also!)
The wages of sin are death-but by the time they take taxes out it's just a tired feeling really
Cardiff on a night out is good, Friday is better avoid a Saturday night if you can, but either night you would enjoy yourselves.
Big Al says dogs can't look up!
I come from Newport (Wales) and used to go to Barry Island Butlins (RIP) every year for my summer hols. Used to love it there. The Pleasure Beach used to be OK with the log flume and pirate ship that went all the way round back in the day :-)
shareDefinitely. We're going to take a Gavin and Stacey tour which we found on the web at http://britmovietours.com/private-tours/gavin-and-stacey-locations-tour/
shareWith a handle such as yours, Mr Hughes, shouldn't you be already here?
shareOh my gosh, yes! That is what I was just coming in here to say. I know my ancestry isn't Welsh, but if this is really how they are, I would fit right in!
