Did Elliot ever offer Walt money outright?

It's been a while since I've watched through this, but can someone remind me - did Elliot ever offer money outright to Walt?

I remember that Elliot offered Walt a job at Gray Matter during his birthday party, because they had good healthcare insurance coverage. This seems insulting to me.

Yes, Walt sold his stake in Gray Matter for $5000
Yes, Elliot has no actual obligation because of that.
But when he decides to treat Walt as a charity case he... offers him a job? To work for him in the company that Walt helped create? In order to get health benefits? How shitty is that?

I'm not saying he should have offered half the company back to Walt or even part of the company. That would be ridiculous. But he could have done better than to merely offer him a job, considering the circumstances.

Not really. Offering free cash, a handout, is more insulting. He knew Walt. He knew he wouldn’t take a handout. He probably figured, hoped, he’d at least take a high paying job with good benefits.
