Children of Men (2006) vs The Road (2009)
which is better?
shareTough call....
The Road (2009) is a lot more realistic, harsh (and less preachier) than 'Children Of Men'...but it's a little TOO downbeat and doesn't have much of a rewatchability factor as the latter movie (which was spectacular on the big screen) but I enjoy both movies.
I also remember seeing both 'The Road' and 'The Book Of Eli' at the cinema (those two were released months apart in the UK) I never cared too much for TBOE (but it's grown on me, over the years)
This is a great showdown, two great 'end of days' movies with fine performances and awful scenarios
I say The Road...the father/son relationship hits very hard and the sense of dread is nearly overwhelming
Different story all together.
Each is best in its own area.
Both great films, but I prefer Children of Men.
