Dr. Stephanie Barnett initially looked like she might be a perfect match for Leonard ... until "The Big Bang Theory" tossed the character aside.

Fans just didn’t like her. They didn’t even address her departure. One episode she’s there. The next she was gone

She was annoying.

I think the story board plan from the get-go was to have Leonard realize his pilot episode dream and marry Penny eventually - their kids would be "smart and beautiful".
