Not going to Comic Con

So in last episode they decided not to go to Comic Con...this show is losing its magic...they are becoming more and more romantic drama type of show and nothing else. And as a BIG fan of the show got to say I'm really dissapointed.

They are all conforming to being "hip" now. Pretty soon the guys will be buying new pickup trucks or SUV's. Facial hair. They will no longer have to argue about ranch burgers or Asian chicken as they will become full vegetarians. I am one of the few that liked Bernadette's own unique look and that is gone. She looks like another 30 something recent mom. Amy will probably break down to conformist pressure and start dressing like she was appearing in a Levi's ad. Sigh.

Agree!

Change is OK; but, somethings are sacred--and are not to be tampered with...Comic Con is one of those things.

The next thing you know the writers will have the guys dissing Stan Lee!!!

Yes, it was disappointing. They could have even gone halfway and said they would go for 3 days or something. I was expecting Sheldon to cave to let Raj buy a ticket, because it was too important to miss.
The way it was handled was a low point in an otherwise solid episode.

I was disappointed with the past two episodes. We know that Raj likes to live a little large but the character has been reduced to being an otherwise moron when it comes to managing his life including money. Also, that his pay is on par with working at WalMart or Seven Eleven versus working at CalTech never mind being recognized as an up and coming talent (30 under30) in his field. Universities love it when staff gets recognition and the 30 under 30 article should have been the prelude to a raise if it was otherwise not planned. The character seems to change in order to fit a new story arc instead of evolving. Further, for the purposes of the recent episodes Raj's situation should actually be better if his dad is shouldering expenses such as a car. Maybe it is just me as I can't imagine how wild somebody would have to be with their credit cards to have looming financial issues given that a parent was helping pay my way.

Yes, it makes no sense that he would have debt. Up until now, his Dad paid for everything. So really, it's just living expenses. I doubt he gave back the car etc, just has to get on on his own from now on. I think they think we're stupid and don't know how living works...

In last week's episode he had to find another place to live. I really, really don't get it. His father paid his rent and his car payments, so how can Raj be so broke? What was he doing with his salary for the last ten years? He hardly dated because he couldn't talk to women, so it's not like he spent a lot of money on girlfriends.

He seemed to live pretty much the same way as the other guys and they aren't broke. I mean, their expenses were comic books, take-out food, movies, etc. They were hardly living large. And the other night Raj had on a sweater vest he's been wearing since the first season. He certainly didn't go overboard on clothes!

And now with finding out his father was supporting him, there's something he said in one of the early episodes that makes him look like a real jerk. I think it was the episode when Penny was short of cash because she gave her ex-boyfriend money to pay a fine. Leonard paid for her share of the take-out food.

Raj whispered to Howard. Howard relayed it as something like, "Raj was wondering if he dressed in tight clothes would he get a free dinner?" Geez! He had a lot of nerve considering that HIS father was paying his way. At least Penny was supporting herself.
