How many times did you laugh?
Me? I had a smirk once... To be honest this doesn't deserve the Comedy tag. Let's just have the Crime and Mystery!

shareI laughed a whole lot. And I watched the film by myself. I laughed most often during the meetings between the two CIA bigwigs. The way they were dealing with a mess that didn't really matter beyond the fact that it was messy. Hilarious! This is the whole point, just in case someone missed the big picture here, I will spell it out:
People commit desperate acts to amend their pointless lives and in consequence reveal the hopelessness of life. The last lines of the movie say it all. Something like:
"Well we learned never to do it again..."
"Uh-huh"
"But I'm not even sure I know what the hell we did."
"Me either."
And that's the Coen Brothers' philosophy on life!
Oh, you are one of those dummies who needs laughing audience in the background to know what's funny, huh? When something is little bit more sophisticated than just good old fart jokes, than it's too hard for you. OK, I got it.
shareI got at least five big laughs out of this, mostly from Pitt and Clooney. Once I understood the absurdity of the whole thing, it was easier to let go and LOL.
Expiration dates are mere suggestions! Like late fees and traffic lights.
When I first saw this at the cinema, I watched it with my dad and brother. Can you imagine watching some of the scenes in this film with your relatives?!!. Lol so embarrassing!!. We all laughed a lot. We laughed even more because there was a man infront of us who kept laughing really loud!!.
shareTons of times. Even at lesser characters like the Hispanic gym employee. "It was just 'lying' there."
shareWhy would watching any of the scenes in this film with your relatives be embarrassing?
If you love Jesus Lizard and are 100% proud of it, copy this and make it your signature!
The "you're in league with these morons, you're in a league of morons" dialogue had me laughing extra audibly and hysterically, I still to this day accuse people of being in a league of morons i'm waging war against.

Perhaps, or perhaps the league of morons would rather recruit someone who takes to the internet to lob base and generic accusations at people based on whether or not they like a single movie...

It's startling that there are people who can get through this movie without laughing. More startling is that they feel inclined to brag about it.
They're in league.
i remember distinctly laughing 3 times, brad pitt's stupid grin in the closet followed by the gunshot, malkovich hacking away at jenkins in the street wearing a bathrobe and jk simons final dialogue.
hilarious movie.
I agree, 3 times. First time was Brad Pitt's stupid grin in the closet followed by Clooney shooting him in the face.
(2) The whole conversation between Rasche & Simmons, where Rasche said he'd involve the FBI and Simmons said, "God, no, burn the body."
(3) When Linda tells Clooney the address where Pitt went and he realizes Pitt is the guy he shot.
3 laughs, 2 chuckles, 2 "ha's", 4 half-smiles
