Pinhead was genderless in the original story. So. Shut up, I guess.
shareRight. The character was very androgynous in the story, maybe even leaning towards the feminine side of things with their appearance. This is actually a case of going back to the original version of the character, as the author envisioned.
shareYes. I've never read the novel but I'm also aware of the fact the Cenobites are quite androgynous and ambiguous, with the Pinhead character being a possible Woman. A Trans actress seems apt for the original idea of Pinhead.
Also Clive Barker is a homosexual. If any Horror film has carte blanche to go 'woke' by introducing LGBT elements I feel like Hellraiser is it. Makes sense given the original story and the author.
However that won't stop some people hating on this film because of it.
"However that won't stop some people hating on this film because of it."
These people are obsessed with "woke". They see it in everything and they make themselves hate it. It's a sickness with these people. It consumes them.

It was the fourth post on this board, so it's not like I went searching through old ones to find it. Regardless of you or how you feel, the post itself is even more relevant today because the anti-wokers are far worse now than ever. You may not be one, and that's great if you aren't. What I said still applies to these types of people, though.
shareWho gives a fuck how long ago your post was sut6432. A retarded post is a retarded post. We have every right to call you out on your bullshit.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing this movie. It sounds better than any of the shitty sequels that came out after Hellbound.
Yes!!! It’s been a long time since I’ve had a stalker on this site! Haha. Keep looking through my post history and find the stuff that pisses you off. I love it! 🤣
And I now see that retard is your favorite word, making you a HUGE hypocrite when preaching political correctness to anyone! This is beautiful stuff! You ultra liberal douchebags really don’t know what side of the bed to piss on. Haha.
Hope you enjoy this film, and all of the other shitty remakes and reboots. I’ll stick with the originals.
Not a stalker. I just find MAGA retards like you who are racist and hate women to be hilarious and sad.
shareWhatever you have to tell yourself stalker. It’s ok if you like me…I just want you to know you are barking up the wrong tree. I’m sure one of the other people you follow around from post to post on this site will be better suited for you.
And speaking of sad…everyone who says something that makes you cry isn’t a racist MAGA retard who hates women, you unbelievably pathetic and hypocritical toolbag. I hope you get a life someday.
Like i said i'm not a stalker. You're not that special for me to get obsessed with you retard.
And unlike you i have a life, a job and a girlfriend. But whatever makes you feel better about your pathetic virgin life.

Well, technically speaking there really wasn't any "Pinhead" character in The Hellbound Heart; the cenobite in the novella has jewelled pins on its face, not nails, has a grid tatooed on its skin rather than carved, is not the leader of the group Frank summons, and promptly disappears from the story after that one scene ends.
shareIt is, if you think of trans-"chicks" as "chicks". Either way, Clayton (with help of the fantastic make-up and costumes) makes a very decent pinhead.
shareIt wouldn't even be questioned if it weren't for filmmakers pushing this garbage on us though. If this movie does indeed portray the ambiguous nature of the cenobite in a natural story-telling manner and is not being used to push an agenda then the film is suffering from the movement as much as the rest of us.
shareI read you. I'm personally not suffering from "the movement", so I can't really say I understand what you mean.
I didn't feel like the film was pushing any particular agenda. The Hell Priest (Pinhead) seems pretty close to what I hear is in the book (which I haven't read). The other cenobites, or at least the actors portraying them, are from (and I didn't write "represent") different racial groups (Asian, Black, Caucasian) , and two of the main characters are a gay couple. But I didn't feel the film made a big deal out of any of it. And each of the cenobites has so many cool and interesting original features that their race or gender is the LEAST of their identifying features.
Her work is very raw and very strong!
shareNo actually it's a male. Born a male, still a male.
shareYes, I understand that now, over a year after I made this post. I fell for the article back then baiting me into the gender swap by saying “female Pinhead”. They were trying to get people riled up, and I took the bait. I couldn’t care less anymore.
I didn’t know the person is a transgender until someone told me after I posted this. So yes, Pinhead is most definitely still played by a dude.
