Anyone feel bad for Gretchen? (spoiler)

She said she was only marrying Doug because she wanted to settle down after a series of bad relationships and that she didn't love him, but that hardly makes her a bad person, does it? I mean she had to have seen something good in him to want to be with him, maybe when they were married she would have come to really like him.

But because it's groom-centred and a guy comedy, Doug has to get all the sympathy and empathy and his bride comes off as a mean-spirited bridezilla that he must be rescued from.

Does this strike anyone as a bit unfair?

No, I don't feel bad for her.
She's a gold digging whore who was pretending to love him when she just wanted his money.
She's human garbage.

He was more shallow. All he cared about was her beauty. For men its always okay to dehumanize women down to their looks. "Nice guys" like this shallow assholes are pricks. He was prick and not nice at all. He was ugly dude who wanted someone out of league for his ego. He didn't love her and was using her looks. I never feel bad for fake nice pricks who get women who use them for their money. They are using women for their beauty. Its an equal exchange. They deserve to be used when being shallow. He was prick for marrying women for beauty then wanting to play victim as if he wasn't just as shallow.
