I'm a huge fan of Spirited Away and Howls Moving Castle so when I saw this and the rating it had I was hoping for something along those lines. Instead this is pure boredom from start to finish, absolute waste of time. Zero emotion in any of the characters with the most simplest of stories. This thing is a joke and purely to kids movie, no adult should watch this.

I know you'll watch this anyway, but do yourself a favor, know what to expect. When you're 40 minutes into and bored out of your mind, save your self the extra hour because it will not get better.

Let me guess, you watched this in English?
This movie should be watched in the original language,
just like all Hayao Miyazaki's movies by the way. Watch
it in Japanese and the kiddy element disappears for like
50 percent.

Also, Miyazaki is KNOWN for making children's movies, he's
the very best at it, making disney look bad!

About the characters, What?! Which movie were you watching?
If you don't like this movie, then you just don't really
know what makes Miyazaki's movies so great.

I found this very babyish too and found the accents so annoying apart from Liam Neeson and I hated the haircuts. Also some of the animation looked a little sloppy like a child had drawn it but the other animation was very nice
