Am I the only one disappointed with the finale?
Everyone on here seems to have loved it, and I love EB&D just as much as the next guy, but I just feel like this last episode was extremely rushed and not as funny as the rest this season.

shareTo each his own, but if you love the show/season 4, I think the finale was about as good as it could have been. I personally loved it, and would've actually omitted the scene with Kenny at his desk (i.e. wish we had seen the last 50 years of Kenny's life in a matter of minutes)

I felt the only way to end it would be on a downer. Kenny was the ultimate tragic hero... he couldn't help but *beep* everything up. The ending should have been tragic in my opinion... something along the lines of how season 1 ended. but that's my opinion. I thought the second to last episode was great, then it ended up all happy ending... meh
shareYou were wrong though and we're all better it was this way than yours. Right?
shareI just watched all 8 episodes in Season 4 and didnt really think it was that great of season. I definitely thought the first 3 seasons were way better.
The good of season 4:
Guy Young - he was hilarious. I liked that character.
The TV exec in episode 8 - I know he was doing a Russell Brand rip off but still found him hilarious. I wish he had been in more of the season.
The bad of season 4:
Dixie - ugh this actress is so ugly and annoying character. I was repulsed by her and the wake forest guy. They didnt add anything to the show.
April - i think April's character worked best when she was more of a sex symbol, but her weight gain took away from her character IMO.
"Yes" on Guy Young and Sacha Baron Cohen (playing the TV exec).
"No" on the rest of your post. Dixie represented an annoying type of person typically found in surburbia. Along with her boring-ass husband, they presented a miserable picture of married, suburban life. If you don't get how this fits perfectly into the show then you were not paying attention.
In terms of calling one actress ugly and attacking another for losing weight? Hide behind that Internet, champ.
I definitely thought the first 3 seasons were way better.Seriously? Season 2 was better?
Dixie - ugh this actress is so ugly and annoying character. I was repulsed by her and the wake forest guy. They didnt add anything to the show.Annoying was actress Jillian Bell's job, and her look fit the character. That's not a bad thing. Furthermore, her character and her character's husband were humorous examples of what KP didn't want to be, and their presence were necessary to help justify KP's concerns of leaving baseball to be a family man.
i think April's character worked best when she was more of a sex symbol,She was never a one-dimensional character used as some sort of damsel in distress. From the start of the series, the character was someone trying to bring out the best in someone who others viewed as narcissistic and egotistical… and she somewhat succeeded by the end of the show.

I'd say just watch it again. It was perfect, and if you really loved the rest of the show I think you'll reconsider your opinion, because the ending is straight up amazing. Like some of these other guys said I was DYING laughing...DYING. More realistically I was crying laughing from the fake out ending where April dies and he grows old with a long beard, children who love him, and a beautiful happy life basically enlightened-to the real ending where his screenplay (which he had been working on the entire show essentially) finally gets made into a real movie where Kenny is played by a body builder and Stevie is played by a...um mentally challenged individual... How much more perfect and fitting can that episode be?
shareIn a weird way I almost think I would have liked the ending better if they didn't cut back to Kenny and April in NM, and that the absurd story that he came up with was actually what happened to him. When I thought that's what they were doing, I was laughing so hard during those final minutes.
