Zooey Deschanel as Wasp
Joss Whedon wanted to put Wasp in the first movie, and cast Zooey Deschanel for the role. I think it would have been great, and way better than Evangeline Lily. Its a shame it didnt happen.

shareScientist Henry "Hank" Pym and his socialite girlfriend (and later wife) Janet Van Dyne were founding members of the Avengers in the original 1963 comic book. Marvel's original plans for the MCU had an Edgar Wright headed Ant-Man movie in Phase 1, but he couldn't get a script together and Ant-Man got pushed out to the last slot in Phase 2 (and pulled from Edgar Wright). If things had gone according to plans, the MCU Avengers would have had Ant-man and the Wasp as founding members. Hank Pym created Ultron in the comics, too.
I can see why they were cut, Ant Man is basically ridiculous (I heard Stan Lee say so), and they wanted a serious tone for the first team movie.
And the fact is, Pym and Van Dyne wouldn't have been much use against a giant alien fleet, they're better against more intimate threats where spying is useful and surprising the enemy gives you a huge advantage. But when it comes to blasting an alien fleet out of the sky you need heroes who can account for big numbers, even the inclusion of Hawkeye and Black Widow seemed wrong.
That wouldn't had been bad. Though I do like Evangeline Lily as Wasp.
shareZooey's an awful actress. I'm glad that didn't happen lol
