Movie is still great, but Black Widow whines too much about her file having red

Interesting.

Just watched this film again and agree I thought the second time she mentions this fact - sitting beside Hawkeye after his recovery - was completely unnecessary. I had never considered it before, until seeing your comment.
After all, it was already brought up in the charged scene/her exchange with Loki, which viewers could not forget (plus it hadn’t happened that long ago really) so why she said it again - with the same wording - seemed pointless.
It made me dislike her character more; she is one of my least favourites. Even Hawkeye, with similar limits to speech and character (simplistically in this film) I find better!

I felt it gave a glimpse into her past. The idea that she had been a trained assassin and had killed many people and she was trying to make amends for all she did wrong. Of course, we all know how she wiped her ledger clean in the end.
