As far as movies, this and Anchorman are a tie for me.
My #1 favorite Apatow production would be Freaks & Geeks, however.

These are nowhere near the best years of your life.

Aside from the extremely clever dialogue, I think one of the strong points is the music. The research of how music changed from rockabilly to hip hop was spot on. I also thought the wardrobe was excellent.

I agree on some terms. But then again, I also liked Knocked Up and Superbad. But Walk Hard was really good as well.
