Your Favourite Wes Anderson film?

Wes Anderson is an unique director, and I´ll make a recap of all of his films, giving my personal grade of each and every one of them. Pick your favourite:

1) Bottlerocket ***: Not bad for being his first project. I loved the cast and the story, very original and funny. Even though it´s an excellent picture, it´s not his best. But still, a must-see.

2) Rushmore ****1/2: My gosh I loved this movie. Made me laugh from beggining to end. Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray were just great! Perfect combination of comedy and romance.

3) The Royal Tenenbaums *****: Anderson´s masterpiece. Every character can make a whole film by itself, but Wes decided to combine them into a hilarious disfunctional family. You can almost identify with at least one of them. Absolutely fantastic.

4) The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou ***1/2: Very nice indeed. What´s worth of this film is the excellent use of the music, the great acting, the originality of the story and the tribute to Jacques Custeau. Worth watching.

5) The Darjeeling Limited ****1/2: Simple, but yet breathe taking. The force and the message of this film is quite strong. In my opinion, the runner-up (tied with Rushmore).

Well, now tell me which is your favourite and why.
(P.S.: I´m sorry if my English is not very good, I´m from Mexico)

I have to make some clarifications on this list. I have not seen Bottle Rocket, so you can pretty much ignore it on the list and look at it as 4 movies. Now, I love The Life Aquatic, my friends and I have watched it a ridiculous amount of times, and I thought Royal Tenenbaums was clever, touching, and funny. I had seen bits and pieces of Rushmore when I was younger, but had always turned it off because it was very slow and didn't draw me in. I, however, decided to watch Rushmore again, all the way through after I was a fan of the the other 2 movies. I continued to feel that way about Rushmore, and completely dislike it. The characters are unlikeable and I understand that's a point, but it made me just want to not watch the movie, and the transformation into better people was very sudden and I felt no reason to care that they had changed.
Darjeeling, while I dislike it, I do not feel the same way about it as Rushmore. I was fine with watching it the whole way through... even though it was pretty predictable as a standard Wes Anderson movie, just set in a different location. The movie, as a whole, bored me. Nothing drew me in. Is it a bad movie? No. Would I watch it again? Probably not. Well, that clarifies my feelings about my rankings.

Very close between the top three but there's just something about The Darjeeling Limited. I can't really explain it.

The Darjeeling Limited
The Royal Tenenbaums
Rushmore
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

I have yet to see Bottle Rocket.

I could watch both The Darjeeling Limited and The Royal Tenenbaums endlessly without getting bored of either of them..
But when I'm introducing my friends to Wed Anderson, I always show them TDL, not sure why.

I love the way he develops the characters in his films.

Has anyone in this family ever seen a chicken?

Sorry man, I once started watching The Royal Tenenbaums but I found so self-indulgent in a very caterpillar way. I like Rushmore and I like Darjeeling Limited but the latter, I like more.

"There. There."

1 - Rushmore
b ) The Royal Tenenbaums
iii . The Darjeeling Limited / Bottlerocket
four -> The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

I love you, but I can't remember why.

Well, I guess it depends on how you want me to categorize "best."

If by "best" you mean "most humorous," my list goes:

5. Darjeeling Limited
4. Life Aquatic
3. Royal Tenenbaums
2. Bottle Rocket
1. Rushmore (of course.)

But if you mean "most well made" then I'd say:

5. Bottle Rocket
4. Rushmore
3. Life Aquatic
2. Darjeeling Limited
1. Royal Tenenbaums

Rushmore
Life Aquatic
Darjeeling Express
The Royal Tennenbaums (felt like a rip off of Salinger's Glass family, anyone else think this?)

Bottle Rocket (saw it a long time ago, I really forget it)

...and I am just going to have to feel this way until I DON'T feel this way ANYMORE!

Darjeeling Limited is in no way his funniest film, in my opinion, but I believe it's his deepest, and has some really amazing set pieces (like the tracking shot through the different train cars depicting the momentary glimpses into the entire cast's lives). I really love all of his films though, for different reasons.
