She even said she was disappointed that they recasted Marnie. She was even available.

I agree I hate watching movies with parts recasted.. It's not the same. They have no chemistry with the character.

I just read somewhere that Disney wanted a fresh face, so they hired Sara Paxton-who back in 2006 was kinda popular.

Part of me wonders if Sara Paxton by that point in time, was simply thought of as being more "conventionally attractive" as a leading lady than Kimberly J. Brown, who admittedly, kind of has a curvy, tomboyish vibe about her.

Yeah Disney definitely messed this one up. I kind of wish they would redo it now with the original cast and make sure this one was never seen again. Lol.

I'm so pissed that I'm just finding out about this, because I thought Kimberly took the road that some Disney stars do, saying they're taking a break to focus on school or personal life issues. Now I'm so upset that she was available to do another movie and they turned her down. This doesn't even feel like the same movie without her, and it's so frustrating.

She was busy doing another movie at the time called Big bad wolf. Its a werewolf film and man does she same some pretty shocking things in it.
