Jason Momoa

If you take Arnie out of the equation I think Momoa was PERFECT as Conan !!!... he managed to hold his own...

and his sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet ass helped (not enough of his buns of steel in my opinion)

very good film..... Who else could of played him ?? (excluding Arnie)

Arnold had a way of giving a comical twist (which gave depth) to his characters and it almost always worked for him as a successful actor....Jason Momoa on the other hand looks and sounds just like any average bodybuilder or wrestler and his acting has always been merely passable at best...if you liked him as Conan then you would probably like Triple H as Conan too (IMO at least he's a better actor than Momoa)!

Personally, I liked Jason Momoa. He had the right build to him (muscled but lithe like a panther, not heavily muscled like Arnold) and was closer to the right height (Jason's 6'5" while Arnold's 6'1"). They should've made his version even more closer to Robert E. Howard's Conan: Not be shirtless most of the time, actually wear armor often, have Conan leave Cimmeria due to wanderlust spurred on by tales from his grandfather rather than some revenge plot (keep the rest of the first act before the attack though), give him great melachonies and great mirth, give him longer lines more in line with Robert E. Howard's version rather than short snippets (i.e. all of Conan's speech before the "I live, I burn with life, I love, I slay, and am content." line. That was beautiful.), and express how he actually dislikes being in Cimmeria. That should significantly improve the character.
