this or orphan
what y'all think is better?
shareJoshua
shareorphan indeed,im actually watching Joshua rite now,its good movie, but this one is kinda predictable, and make a little boy so evil, which there was a lot of movies made some kids look evil,so this movie is one of them, nothing new.
but i found orphan, really refreshing and unique in its own idea.
i really loved it much better than Joshua.

really?"orphan" is...refreshing and unique...??? not predictable? I mean u didnt realize from beginning that esthere was a really psycho evil girl? wow ..anyway ,Joshua as Horror movie is much more realistic and scary, than this typical "wannabe scary" orphan.
orphan is overrated definitely

Joshua is underrated indeed, but I still prefer Orphan.
Why?Because my heart pounded much much faster when I watched it.
And the lead girl's performance was just astonishing.
Joshua was quite good but the plot was a bit flat.
And its ending was original but a bit disappointing.
Joshua is a unique film and it's really underrated. However, Orphan reigns on top because it's suspenseful and it's a lot more satisfying. I can't say the same about Joshua.

I'd say 'Orphan' because 'Orphan' doesn't pretend to be what it's not while 'Joshua' tries to be cerebral and ends up being a mess instead.

Orphan b/c it makes you uneasy the whole time and Max is too cute.
shareI enjoy them both. Isabelle Fuhrman as Esther was quite a bit stronger in her performance than Jacob Kogan was as Joshua. Still hard to decide. Orphan pandored to it's audience much more, so I'd have to call Joshua the superior film. As far as actual enjoyment goes, Orphan wins.
Wow, I contradicted the sh!t out of myself. Oh well. Dinner time.
They are both quite different films so it's hard to decide. If I had to, I probably preferred 'The Orphan' since it had a more straight-forward plot whereas this was a bit of a mess since there is no insight into whether Joshua was like this before or if the birth of his sister set him off. 'The Good Son' was the best portrayal of an evil child in terms of showing factors in what makes a child so cold and malicious.

Orphan was creepy and with a fantastic ending.
Joshua was boring and pretentious.
How was Joshua pretentious?
Really like both but give a slight edge to Orphan.
Anything that isn't your typical Hollywood garbage with either a jump scare or an overly gory death scene every moment (basically anything with an actual plot and character development) is considered "pretentious" in this day and age.
I've been waiting for you, Ben.
