shareit is this racist/xenophobic thinking that brings down the world.
you should be ashamed for looking beyond someones ability for the role and finding only hate.
you are what is wrong with man.
I agree. However, imho she was miscast. Her character came across very differently in the book, and seeing the actress who played her was a disappointment. Like you said, this has nothing to do with her nationality, but it does affect the movie.
shareSince they are all mediterranean I think she is fine for that role.

Had she been very attractive, I wouldn't care. She isn't, so I have to wonder as well what lead them to this decision. Of course she's not ugly, but saying Ayelet Zurer is "incredibly beautiful" is a pretty absurd statement. Audrey Tautou playing Sophie Neveu in "Da Vinci Code" was far better looking, and even she isn't what I would call spectacular. Which is fine, I suppose - they're supposed to be scientists, not supermodels.
Stating your opinion as if it were a fact is more absurd. Many people find her and Tautou gorgeous. Just because you have some ridiculously high standard while typing away from your mom's basement doesn't mean other people share your sentiments.
There are few things as fetching as a bruised ego on a beautiful angel.
