In her defence, though, Ayelet is an incredibly beautiful woman.

Who cares what nationality someone is? The world is a whole; just find someone who can do the job! You have never seen a Brit play an American and vice versa?

Besides, the film complelty changed her book character by giving her NO character -- no background, no key part to the story, etc. Her role for all intents and purposes could have been played by a man or an other employee of CERN.

Agreed

She was still a key part to the story and the movie understandably skipped everything else because movies doesn't have time for that. With a book, you can stop the plot and go on and on developing a character by recounting their backstory. You don't have that kind of luxury in a movie.

yah i think when they did the screen test they didn't look to see oh...are you italian? spanish? greek? israeli? .... Non-discrimination: It's an American rule. If you can do the job, you Get the job.

to me she is a perfect fit for the description of the character.

They just had to get the obligatory jew(s) in the film. It seems to be a requirement of late. The whole time I watched this movie all I could think of was that this actress was just wrong for the part. She didn't belong in this movie, her acting is wooden (being kind) and she has a horse face.

They also got a Swedish guy to play the head of the Swiss guard, but nobody is complaining about that.

agreead t-rex. This ugly woman was only forced into this role for politics. It is painfully obvious she is talentless, boring and butt ugly.

Hollywood has become so boring by casting untalented morons to portray their crap novel adaptations.

It is beneath me to type anymore about this ugly woman.
