My fav part of this movie is in the Vatican Archive. They're in some nearly vacuum room to preserve document in this archive. Robert took a huge box from the archive, and took out a small parchment with a pincer. Then Robert and Vittoria were sitting on opposite sides, with the parchment in between them them lying on the table, held by a pincet. They then discuss valuable history which matters for the plot. Good camera work, interesting wording. Its a good scene.
Except for the fact that when you discuss with someone, small particles of spit exit your mouth. Its not something disgusting, it just happens, and normally that's alright. The spit isn't purely water, it of course contains acid, bacteria, etc. You wouldn't want that on an important parchment!!
