Ever been in the Sistine Chapel?
I have, and it's awesome
shareI have too. It was absolutely breath-taking! It's basically one room but, oh, what a room. Even though you're not allowed to take any pictures in there, I did manage to get one of the Last Judgement! Sneaky, sneaky. Then I tried to get another one but I got caught by one of the Italian guards. He just gestured for me to put the camera away, so I did. No harm done, really.
Did you climb up all those steps up inside St. Peter's Basilica? That was hard-going but worth it when you get to the top!
The best city and holiday ever :)
There are two rules of success in life: 1. Don't tell people everything you know.
I actaully never climbed the steps
shareDid you catch any paintings of Jesus' wife, by chance?

You're lucky; I'd love to get there some time. It looks stunning!
shareI went a few weeks ago on my honeymoon and my wife was keen to get there as early as possible as it is one of her favorite places.
I'll be honest I found it too much. It was overwhelming with color and so busy that I actually ended up feeling that it would have benefitted from some 'breathing space'. Also it was funny, the only thing I knew about it was the famouse ceiling picture of mans creation... so I had assumed this was the full ceiling picture, rather than one small part of it.
Yes, and when I went, there wasn't such a problem with cameras. I went back in the late 80's early 90's. I didn't take many pictures. I wanted to see everything and not see it behind a camera.
