Netflix has picked+#65279; up Jericho for a third season

Netflix is currently in talks with CBS about obtaining the television rights to the defunct dystopian sci-fi serial, Jericho.

so any news on this, is it happening and if so will the cast return?

I spoke to the Executive Producer, Dan Shotz, at Comic Con (July 2013). Netflix and CBS are still in talks/negotiations, but this is a complex deal and may take awhile to finalize.

Dan said that because it has been five years since cancellation, they may need to jump the timeline.

I also spoke to Ashley Scott (Emily) and she told me the cast keeps in touch and are all interested in returning to Jericho.

The fan campaign is still running and you can get details here:

Just rename it NCIS Jericho and CBS will support it.

Hate to say it but much like Brooklyn South CBS fkd up again. It won't happen.

I would like to go back in time and kill the idiot who created the term "reimagining."

reply

Bumping this thread was just plain cruel. For a second I thought they actually had picked it up. I highly doubt it will happen.

It's been a few months, so BUMP.

reply

biddly biddly BUMP

reply

Stop bumping this! I thought this was news and so glad until I saw the post was created in 2012!

Don't get me wrong, I love Jericho, but it's DEAD.

DEAD. DEAD. DEAD. It's not coming back. This was the last chance from Netflix. It's gone!

I know How you feel but be patient. Arrested Development was brought back after being off the air for Ten years.

reply

BUMP. LOL I would love for Netflix or Amazon to pick it up. Definitely better than stupid shows that seem to make it.

reply

Bump.

You don't get to tell other people what to do. You're just encouraging people to bump it more by being an a**hole.

The number one rule..... NEVER turn your back on the dead guy!

reply

I will bump this to the end of time or until someone makes a third season or relaunch the whole show. Its plain crazy to not pick this up again since the show have the most dedicated fanbase around and also the show has a 8 out of 10 average on imdb. Really hope Netflix will see that there is potensial in this show and will reboot it. Maybe it was launched in the wrong time when it first aired but now I will say is the best time to air it because of how the world is right now. So bump bump bumpeti bump. And more nuts.

reply

Hump a Bump today.

i'd certainly enjoy it if they came back for more seasons! Skeet is hot, and Jericho certainly paved the way for shows like Revolution, Under the Dome, The Walking Dead, and FTWD - it should be given back its dignity and stats!

reply

I agree! I thank Jericho for making Revolution possible, which also got cancelled too soon. I'm almost done with Jericho--two episodes left--and then under recommendation am going to start watching Under the Dome.

reply

Yep, under the dome was kinda corny, but it worked for me, as i like sci-fi and desperately try finding new sci-fi to watch like left and right... If you're willing to watch UTD and you aren't already watching, I recommend Haven.

reply

I wish this would really happen. I'm hooked!

reply

Seriously? Netflix series are usually good but there are some rotten apples too so I'm not going to be hyped for the "Netflix Season".

reply

With the ending of Jericho, I don't exactly see how or why. The show ended with...the rest is up to your imagination.

Or the IDW comics.
