HAIL! I watched it today on MGM HD UK and it was so sweet! I think I'll have to buy it sometime. I remember hearing about it at the time but I don't remember anyone saying Ryan Gosling played Lars and so when I found out I had to watch it lol.

Hail! I saw it a couple of times some years ago and liked it well enough. But just recently I dusted off my DVD and watched it again just for the heck of it. For whatever reason, it hit me with a lot more power this time. Forget "liked it well enough." I'm now revising my All Time Top Ten list!

If you just read the script, you could think this is a ridiculous movie.
Then you see the movie, and you watch the incredible acting, and you get involved with it, and you see there´s nothing to laugh at it. There is a guy with serious relationships issues who can´t interact with real people. That´s it. Excellent performances. A must see.

This was a surprise for me. I half expected this to be some kind of quirky silly tale but it was very touching.

This movie is enchanting in a unique way. The Bianca's funeral moment in church is the best scene.
