Is there really another show on the same level?

So far i didnt find it. The only things that came close in my opinion were My Brilliant Friend,the first two seasons of The Crown,and The Romanoffs by the same showrunner (Matthew Weiner). Do you think there is something on the same level of Mad Men around?

I liked Halt And Catch Fire. The main character is basically another Don Draper.

Watched it. At the beginning the two shows are very similar,yes,but then Halt and Catch Fire becomes very different,and i think its not at the same quality level of Mad Men

I started a thread on the BBC list of 100 top shows of the 21st century and Mad Men was number two behind The Wire and ahead of Breaking Bad. I thought that The Wire, Breaking Bad and Downton Abbey were up there with Mad Men as top-tier shows. Some of the other shows that I thought were superior were Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Ozark and Peaky Blinders.
